Reserve Visitor Center

The Visitor centre is in the heart of the Reserve, near the church of Sassoguidano, and housed in an old rural building which has been restored for this purpose, according to strict green building criteria.

The structure is very welcoming: in the warm reception room, visitors can sit in front of the stone fireplace and ask the staff for information about the Reserve.

The Reserve guide, brochures on the three themed trails, a booklet on birds of prey nesting at the Reserve, and the VHS "Rino il porcospino e… la Riserva incantata" are also available at the Centre.

Downstairs, in the learning room equipped with overhead projector and other media, visitors are led in an imaginary journey to discover the Reserve's most characteristic spots and its rarest plants and animals.

Upstairs, in the wooden attic, an exhibition room has been set up; besides temporary exhibitions, it is permanently decorated with beautiful pictures of birds of prey flying in the skies of Sassoguidano.

Both the interior and the exterior are easily accessible for anyone.
