A Park... at School
The Sustainability Education Center at the Parchi Centrali Emilia represents the unique educational and operational center of the Parchi Centrali Emilia Authority, an administrative structure managed by two Regional Parks (del Frignano and dei Sassi di Roccamalantina); five Regional Reserves (di Sassoguidano, della Cassa di espansione del fiume Secchia, delle Salse di Nirano, della Rupe di Campotrera, dei Fontanili di Corte Valle Re); the natural and semi-natural landscape protected by Collina Reggiana-terre di Matilde. This extraordinary landscape, ranging from the plain to the hills and the mountains, and combined with traditions and historical-architectural testimonies, is translated into a wide variety of itineraries and proposals, suitable for everyone and during all seasons.
The CEAS is present towards schools proposing educational visits lasting one or more days (particularly recommended to discover the biodiversity of the Emilia Centrale Protected Areas), offering a didactic support for teachers, for personalized designs and training courses.
The activities proposed by CEAS allow to discover more about naturalistic, environmental and historical issues. In addition to satisfying the students' need for adventure and socialization, these activities encourage their contact with nature and with the environment.
The CEAS planning and didactic organisation are managed by an internal coordinator, while the didactic and informative activities are managed by specialized external professionals. The educational activities, in particular, are organised by environmental excursion guides (GAE) legally recognized by current legislation.
